Obituary of Constance Sopp

Constance Rose (Connie) Sopp age 86 a lifelong resident of Cortland NY went to meet her lord on October 1st 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Connie is survived by her devoted husband Mike T Sopp, her son Rod (Gwen) Stabler, her grandsons Michael Goyette, Ric (Mia) Stabler, Nathan (Bridgette) Stabler and great grandsons Eli, Max and Oliver. She is also survived by niece Jana Norris and nephews John Conklin, Mark Allen, and Chris Allen. She worked for JcPenny for 25 years before retiring 1994 and began working at Cortland hospital in the coffee shop as a volunteer. She spent many winters in Arizona and some in Florida enjoying her retirement with Mike. She was a member of Sweet Adelines for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to concerts, bowling, golfing and weekly card games with friends and family. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Rick Stabler her son Lee Stabler and her parents Leon and Marion Rose as well as her sisters Margery Ripley and Pat Conklin. Calling hours will be on Wednesday October 9th from 10 to 12pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. with a memorial service to begin at 12pm. Burial to follow at Cortland Rural Cemetery.
