Obituary of Dianne Robertson

Dianne F. Robertson, 68, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Dianne was born in Trenton, NJ to Paul J. and Margaret P. Farinella on September 20, 1956. She graduated from Ithaca High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Ithaca College. She spent her early career as head cashier for P&C Food Markets and then became a teaching assistant at Alton B. Parker Elementary School, where she retired after 20 years of service. Dianne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She and her husband, Tim, were happily married for 39 years, and throughout that time shared many moments of laughter, fun, tested patience and overall great pride in their family. When she wasn't planning visits to see her daughters and young grandchildren, Dianne enjoyed golfing with her husband, spending time with her sister, shopping and collecting MacKenzie-Childs accessories. Her biggest passion was caring for those she loved; she was kind, thoughtful and had an incredible ability to make others feel special. Her caring nature and thoughtfulness will leave a lasting legacy for years to come. Dianne is survived by her husband Timothy P. Robertson, her daughters Jessica L. Weeks (Joseph) and Jaimee M. Jardin (John), grandchildren Jack Weeks, Riley Weeks and Ellie Jardin, her sister Deborah Sarkus (Peter). She is preceded in death by her parents Paul J. and Margaret P. Farinella.
