Obituary of Delores Long

Delores Long, 66, of Cortland, NY passed away on Wednesday October 24, 2024. She was born on February 1, 1958, the daughter of the late William and Kathleen Dowd. Delores was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Above all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Delores was a strong willed, outgoing, and wonderful lady. She loved hard and was always helping people. In her free time, she loved having family BBQ's and being outdoors in nature. She enjoyed listening to country music, riding around on her electric bike, crocheting, and having her hot coffee. Delores is survived by her children Jonie Schaap, Nikoma (Shawna) Dowd, Leslie (John) Twomey, LeRoy (Allison) Eaton Jr., Brandon Eaton, her grandchildren Desirrae, Michelle, William, Harley, Payton, Brianna, Saylor, Makaila, Dominic, Andrew, Hope, Arrionna, Zoey, and Zackariah, and her great grandchildren Isabella, Makayla, Shania, James, and Nolan, her siblings William Dowd, Gary Dowd, Roger Dowd, David Dowd, James Dowd, Jeannie Binford, Gloria Pinion, the late Stephen Dowd who passed away 11/2022 and Joyce Dowd, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
