Thomas C. Compagni, 53, formerly of Cortland residing and working in Syracuse NY passed away suddenly November 5, 2024. He was born September 15, 1971 in Cortland. Tom was raised and educated in Cortland graduating from Cortland High School in 1990. He soon joined the US Navy serving on the U.S.S. America during Desert Storm. Soon after his military service, Tom began working for Raymond Corp. Tom enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Star Wars fan, and enjoyed fishing at the lake. Tom is survived by his mother Joan Havington Call, his maternal grandmother Gloria Havington, his sister Stacie Compagni, his brother Steven (Jackie) McCloskey, his brother Charles McCloskey, his niece Kalianne (Colton) Keating, nephews Ryan, Luke, Jack McCloskey, four step sisters, one step brother, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tom is predeceased by his father Albert M. Compagni, step father Michael Call, maternal grandfather Charles Havington, paternal grandmother and grandfather Anne & Albert Compagni, his uncle Bill Havington, and beloved dog Lily. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-5:45 pm with a funeral service to begin 6 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Services will be streamed through Tom's obituary page.
