Obituary of Ronald Comerford

Ronald Comerford, 84, of Homer, NY, passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1940, the son of the late Robert and Marie Comerford. Ron was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from St. Mary's School and Cortland Highschool. Ron proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958-1962. He went on to work for Brockway Trucks, and when they closed, Ron began work for the Cortland County Highway Department, which he retired from. After retirement, Ron enjoyed tinkering with model trains and railroading and riding his motorcycle. Ron enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and going on drives to see different railroad stations. Ron loved being with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ron is survived by his children Caroll (Sherri) Comerford, Patrick Comerford, Curtis (Michelle) Comerford, Samuel Comerford, Benjamin (Amanda) Comerford, his siblings Joan Comerford, Richard Comerford, James Comerford, and Joseph Comerford. In addition to his parents, Ron is predeceased by his wife Darlene Comerford and his brother Robert Comerford.
