Obituary of Shirley E. Todd

Shirley E. Todd, a lifelong resident of Cortland, New York, passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 65. Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her loving nature and devotion to her family. Shirley worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), serving the community at Cortland Hospital Adult Day Care, and Broome County DSO. Throughout her career, she touched many lives with her compassion and care. She had a deep love for the holidays, especially Christmas, and enjoyed creating memories with her family. Shirley was a talented crafter, baker, and quilter, always finding joy in sharing her handiwork with those she loved. Her warmth and generosity made her the heart of her family. Shirley is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Todd; her daughters, Doniel (Andrew) Wason and Kari (Travell Sr.) Rowser; her twin sister, Sharon Holl; her siblings; her grandchildren, Keanna, Dominick, Danika, Travell Jr., and Zachary; her great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Kash; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, her fur babies Ted, Grace, and Garfield. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents Charles Mullen and Katherine Parker, granddaughter Mariah Reynolds. Calling hours will be held on December 28, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. Burial will take place at Glenwood Cemetery in Homer, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of choice in Shirley's memory.
