Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" Fralick

Gerald "Jerry" Fralick, 86, of Cortland, NY, passed away on December 29, 2024, at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. He was born on December 13, 1938, in Syracuse, NY. Jerry was a dedicated employee of Smith Corona Corporation in Distribution and a proud member of the Cortland Moose Lodge. Jerry enjoyed bowling and dancing in his younger years Jerry was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather that will be remembered for his kind loving personality and sense of humor. He is survived by daughters Nancy (Brian) Avril and Susan (Tod) Pukas; his companion Carol Gibbons, his brother Thomas (Donna) Fralick; and grandchildren Matthew Avril, Brenton Avril, Benjamin "Ben" Pukas, and Grace Pukas. He was preceded in death by his wife Laverna, his parents Thomas and Alice Fralick, and eleven siblings. A calling hour will be held at Wright-Beard Funeral Home on Saturday January 4, 2025 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin 2 pm at the funeral home immediately following. Spring burial will be at the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society
