Hap was a member of the first foursome I played in at the Cortland Country Club, along with Joe Compagni and Lloyd Smith, nearly 36 years ago to this day. I must have played a hundred more rounds with him and he was always a joy to play with - I can give a fellow golfer no higher praise. Right now he is playing his favorite golf course in heaven and I am certain he is rattling the change in his pants pocket in the middle of Joe Compagni's back-swing. A wonderful man who provided me with wonderful memories. Phil Chase
