Dorothy V. Fox 78 of Moravia passed away June 21, 2011 surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born May 19, 1933 in Homer the daughter of the late Cecil and Agnes Ellis Thayer.
Dorothy had been employed at Crescent Corset, Smith Corona, and various other locations after her retirement from SCM.
She was a avid animal lover, enjoyed antiquing and going to auctions and volunteering at the Cortland Care Center
Dorothy is survived by her Loving husband of 21 years Jay Fox of Moravia, her children Roger R (Michele) Cornelius of East Freetown, John L. (Debbie) Cornelius of Martinsville, Virginia, Michael (Valarie) Cornelius of Homer, Rodney H. Clark Jr. of Moravia, her step children Eddie Clark of Dalton Georgia, Janet Clark ofKaaawa, Hawaii, Cathy Wingenbach of Cincinnatus, Debbie (Clayton) Ingram of Pitcher , Carol Isom of Walnut Cove North Carolina. In addition to her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband Roger W. Cornelius, brother Victor Thayer and infant brother Richard.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Monday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland .Friends are invited to call from 1:00- 1:45 pm prior to the service.
Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Dorothys name is asked to consider the Sempronius Fire Dept, or the Cortland County SPCA
