Clayton R. Hill 91, of Truxton passed away December 7, 2010 in Cortland Care Center. Clayton was born March 9, 1919 in Cuyler the son of the late Melvin and Lyndia Trumbull Hills. Served his country with the US Army during WW II., he had been employed at Wickwire Brothers, and worked in the maintenance department at the Cortland County office building. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading, playing guitar, listening to country music. and was an avid pitch player. He was a life member of the Cortland American Legion, VFW, DAV, and the Pearl Harbor Club. Clayton is survived by his wife Shirley Elliott Hill, his son Bradley (Vicki) Hill of Cortland., grandson Adam, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Clayton was predeceased by his brothers ,sisters, and sister in law Edith Hills Graveside services will be held in the spring in Cortland Rural Cemetery. At Claytons request there are no calling hours.
