Dear Ruth, So sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. Shirley and I sent our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. We remember the class reunions and the good times we had. I'll never forget presenting the Horses Ass trophy to Bob at the golf outing at Elm Tree when he left me with you and Donna French to "beat the rest" with basically no chance for success. I remember growing up with Bob on Clinton Ave. His father's Esso station, the baseball and football games, playing baseball for CHS and I'll always remember his black dog getting run over when the Clinton Ave bridge was under construction and how he felt when the policeman had to end his dog's life. Remembering all the good times we had will never be forgotten. Again, the best to your family and I hope to see you when I drive up to Cortland next summer for our 55th reunion. John and Shirley Adams Ormond Beach FL
Ruth, My deepest sympathies to you and your family. You and Bob had a wonderful 50+ year run together...a young marriage that lasted. I'll always remember Bob's energy and humor, both in the early days and at our reunions. I trust you'll find comfort in remembering those qualities and I trust that they have been passed on to children and grandchildren. Please know you are in my thoughts. Jerry Peck

Although I have only really know the Phelps family through bowling and auto repair, it is clear to us that Mr. Phelps was loved by all. I especially enjoyed the family banter on Friday nights at Cortlanes. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time of loss. Stephen Mosher
