David Thompson,Sr. 66, of Homer NY, passed away November 7, 2010 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. He was born October 16, 1944 in Spafford NY, the son of the late Raymond and Arlene Thompson, Sr. David was a lifelong resident of the area. He drove for various taxi cab service companies for the past twenty years. His lifelong passion was collecting anything associated with eagles that included pictures, plaques, and statues. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Thompson of Homer NY, David Thompson Jr., Corby (Becky) Waffner, Jeff Thompson, daughter Shawne (Brian) Standish grandchildren Rachelle, Jessica, Zachary, Cullen and Robert, brother Raymond (Marie) Thompson of KY, and his in laws Martha and Virgil Havens of Homer. In addition to his parents David was predeceased by his brother William Thompson. Calling hours will be Friday 4-7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY.
