Obituary of Beverly Sheppard Bush

Beverly S. Bush ,formerly of Grout Brook Road, Homer, NY passed awqay September 25, 2010 at the home of her daughter. She was surrounded by her loving family, if not in presence, in prayer. Born and raised in Cortland she married Robert P. Bush on August 13, 1944 .After retiring from the Homer High School Cafeteria they moved to Grout Brook where she enjoyyed their many Scott friends and her beautiful flower gardens. Beverly was among one of the first residents of the new Ellis Pine Senior Apartments in Homer. Her many friends there feeding her birds. Monday morning knitting ladies, Monday night bible study and Thursday trips to Bonnies were her blessings. Sruviving are her daughter Cathy (Gary) Lawrence of Homer, her son Dale (Catherine) Bush of College Station Texas, Sister-in-Law Martha Bush Gillette of Homer, Grandchildren Phyllis (Jack) Litzenbergerr of Cortland, Scott (Amber) Lawrence of Truxton, Mike D. Bush of Homer Mark (Paige) Lawrence of Mount Pleasant S C., Amy (John) Eppes of College Station, Texas, Jason (Emily) Bush of Fredicksburg , Texas. the love of herlife were her 11 great grandchildren Kristy, Brian, Emily, John, Tyler, Katelyn, Ethan, Nickolas, Caleb, Bethany, Camden and Leah, Many specia; neices, nephews, and cosins. Beverly was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2005 and their son David William Bush in 1988. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday September 30 at the First United Methodist Church Cayuga St Homer, with the Rev. Suzanne Block officiating. the family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 pm prior to the celebration Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer at the convenience of the family.
