Paul C. Foster 89, formally of Cortland, passed away July 27, 2010 in Groton Residential Care Facility. Paul was born April 29, 1921 in Cortland the son of the late Ray and Fannie Kryger Foster. Most of his young life Paul worked on a dairy farm, then went to work for GAF Corporation in California for over 36 years. Paul was an avid bowler, and had served in the Christian Jail Ministry Program for several years. Paul is survived by his wife Vivian Widger Foster of Cortland, his sons Richard (Louise) Foster of Aurora Malcoln ( Debbie) Schoener of Ohio, daughters Nancy (David) Moses of Cincinnatus, Jean (Charles) Hodgson of CA. brothers Robert (Mary) of Cortland, Ralph of Hendersonville, TN, Ernest of Rochester ,Carl (Mary) of MD, Harold ( Shirley) of Cortland, and Charles (Faith) of Salem , NC ,sisters Mary Jane Foster of Cortland, Ruth Stevens of Cortland, Edna Mae (Lynn)Widger of MD 7 grandchildren , 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Paul was predeceased by his son Robert and sister Ethel Briggs. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Interment will be Taylor Cemetery Friends are invited to call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
