Obituary of Artamese Parker

Artamese Parker, 81, of Truxton passes away on June 13, at the Beechtree Care Center in Ithaca. She was born October 20, 1928 in Greene, NY to the late Frank and Florence Sherwood Mead. Mrs. Parker was a life long resident of the Cortland area. She worked at Crescent Corset for many years and then went on to work at Green Thumb. In her later years she enjoyed playing word games and any type of puzzles and spending time with her family. She is pre-deceased her husband Robert Parker, brothers Richard Hackett, Tyler Mead, sisters Grace Allen, Helen St. Dennis and Margaret ODonnell, foster sister Mildred Hazard. Mrs. Parker is survived by her son Aaron (Peggy) Parker of Truxton, brother Robert Mead, sisters; Harriet Hinckley of Dryden, Juanita Payson of Liverpool, foster sister Marjorie Gabruk of Syracuse, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
