Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virginia Owens, 91, formerly of Blodgett Mills, passed away July 11, 2013, at the Cortland Park and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 11, 1922, in McGraw, NY, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Marguerite Short Wildman.

In May of 1997 she received honors for 40 plus years of dedicated service in the Beginner Department of Memorial Baptist Church. She was also responsible for starting the Pioneer Girl program which flourished there for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband Merlin, a daughter Marcia, and sons Douglas and David. She is survived by her children Janie (Donald) Perry of Gordonville, PA, Alison (David) Owens of Smithville Flats, NY, Brian Owens, and Brenda (Robert) OGorman of Cortland, ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Dear Janie and family, We were told of your mother's passing. Please be consoled by the remembrance that many hold of the grace and beauty of character that was hers. Having lost my husband, Roger, this year I can appreciate feelings of loss and yet the joy of knowing that he and I will meet and rejoice together according to God's loving plan. May God bless your reunions with your loved ones in time to come. Love, Dorothea.
