Obituary of Eleanor R. Wiegand

Eleanor R. Wiegand 92, of Cortland passed away February 26, 2010 in Cortland Care Center. Eleanor was born March 22, 1917 in Lansing, NY the daughter of late Karl and Alma Cutter Tarbell. She had been employed at Smith Corona, and then retired from the Cortland City School District, working in the Cafeteria at Barry School. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cortland and the Lansing Senior Citizens. She is survived by her great nieces and nephews, Lisa Missert of Grand Island, Heidi Raven of Marcellus, Gwynn Hall of Fayetteville, Chris and Tim Andrews of Syracuse. In addition to her parents Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Clarence Wiegand Sister Alliene Taylor and nephew Charles R. Andrews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave., with the Revered John Gay officiating. Interment will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
