Obituary of Dorothy Louise Corl-Pierce

Dorothy Louise Corl-Pierce, 82, passed away March 29, 2010 at the Cortland Care Center. She was born October 18, 1927. She was employed by A.H. Robbins Babcocks Farms until 1979 when she sustained and injury preventing her from working. Dorothy enjoyed taking care of her family and enjoyed being outdoors. She is survived by her children Barbara Shutts, Robert Shutts, Harold Pierce, and Debra McGuire, grandchildren Randy (Mindy) Cole, Tina Little, Valerie Allen, Wayne Porter, and Kandy Porter, great grandchildren Cheryl, Bailey, Teresa, Crystal, Chanel, Ashley, Michael, James, Erica, Cilene, Marissa, Amber, and great grandson Kasen. She was predeceased by her husband Harold M. Pierce. A calling hour will be held Thursday 1-2 with a memorial service to follow 2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY 13045. She was a wonderful human being, mother and grandmother. She had a heart the size of Texas and gave the gift of laughter to all she met. I WISH WE COULD OF SEEN HER BEFORE THIS HAPPENED SHE WAS SUCH A NICE PERSON AND FUN TO BE AROUND.WE HAVEN'T SEEN HER IN YEARS BUT SHE WAS ALWAYS FULL OF LAUGHS AND FUN TO BE AROUND. I REALLY WOULD OF LIKED TO BE THERE AND TO SEE THE KIDS .BOB IS THE ONLY ONE I CAN REALLY REMEMBER RIGHT NOW .LET HIM NO THAT WE BOTH SEND OUR THOUGHTS AND SORRY WE DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE CALLING HRS.
