Obituary of John Zartun

John Zartun, 78, of Cortland passed away March 21, 2010 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Zartun was born March 1, 1932 in Long Island, the son of the late Peter and Barbara Patricia Zartun. John moved to the Cortland area in 1969 from Long Island. Before moving to the area he worked as a plumber in the local 200 plumbers Union of Suffolk County where he worked up to the rank of a Master Plumber. John and his wife Barbara were the owners of The Aquarius Bar and Grill on Rt 13. He also helped start the local bar pool leagues. In his later years he enjoyed gardening/ yard work, wood working and also donating money to the NYS Lotto fund. John is survived by his wife Barbara of 55 years, John (Maryanne) of Amarillo Texas, sons James (Deborah) of Kings Ferry, grandchildren Christopher, Lisa, Karie, Shannon and Jamie, 5 Great Grandchildren, his brother Peter Zartun of California and sister Mary Feltes of Long Island.
