Bruce G. Cottrell, 70, passed away February 15, 2010 at his daughter and son in laws home in Cincinnatus, NY. He was born November 29, 1939 in Skaneateles, NY, son of the late Roderick & Mary Ann Miller Cottrell.
Bruce lived in the Scott/Homer most of his life. He was a professional auctioneer by trade dealing, buying, and selling hay and straw, farm machinery, and antiques. Throughout his professional career as a buyer, he enjoyed collecting various pieces that he was able to restore. Bruce was a also able to donate his time and services as auctioneer to the McGraw and Scott Methodist Churchs during their annual fundraising activities.
He is survived by his daughter Linda (Randy) Euson of Cincinnatus, sons Loren Cottrell and Leonard Cottrell of Cortland, sister Yvonne (Leslie) Wilcox of Groton NY, grandchildren Andrew (Heather) Euson, Deidre Euson, Nicholas Cottrell, great grandchildren Paige and Kendre Euson and 3 nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY, 13045. Spring burial will at the Scott Union Cemetery.

I truly will miss Bruce. I wish I could have visited with him more this last year but at least everytime he came over or I saw him at an auction it was a visit well spent. Love to all, Linda Weinerth
