Obituary of Daniel Patrick Snyder

Daniel Patrick Snyder 23, of 178 Hinman Rd., Cortland, passed away January 14, 2010, the result of a motor vehicle accident. Dan was born June 11, 1986 in Ithaca the son of Michael P. and Marschelle Jackson Snyder. Dan graduated from Groton High School in 2004. He continued his education at Alfred State studying electrical contracting. Dan was currently employed with IBEW Ithaca Local241. Daniel Patrick was a movie buff often able to remember lines from all kinds of movies. He loved people, making them laugh, spending time with friends or just getting together around a campfire. Dan also loved cooking, being outdoors, hunting, golfing, trap shooting or snowmobiling. Dan was a friend to many and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Daniel is survived by his parents Mike and Shelley Snyder of Cortland, his sister Desiree (Karl) Brown of Binghamton, NY, his niece Genevieve Brown. Paternal grandparents John and Doris Snyder of Cookeville, TN, his maternal grandparents John and Suzanne Jackson of Groton. Uncle Scott (Laurie) Snyder, Aunts Chris Snyder, Rhonda (John) Saulsbury, Julie (Fred) Carpenter and Cindy (John) Hawley. Close family friend Georgette Ogle and his cousins; Alexis, Bailey, Taylor, Jackson, Caitlin, Mason and Ryan. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland . Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday evening 4:00-8:00 PM.
