Marion South 78, of Cortland passed awayJanuary 1, 2010 in Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Marion was born September 25, 1931 in Wantage Township, New Jersey the daughter of the late George and Elsie Kent Groover.
She was an avid bingo player, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Marion is survived by her children: Jesse South ,Thomas (Kathy) South , Robert South all of Cortland, Marion Maryann (Boyce) Neff of Dryden, Kathy (Mark) Church of McLean, Lois Spencer of Marathon, her brother Kenneth Kent of New Jersey, sister Dorothy Yarashes of Pennsylvania, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. and her beloved friend Gladys.
Marion was predeceased by her husband Jesse South in 1994
Calling hour will be held Wednesday evening from 3-4 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. a time of sharing will follow at 4 PM .Graveside services will be held in New Jersey.
