Obituary of Karen Sue Evans

Karen Sue Evans, 57, of 42 Church St., Cortland NY, passed away Wednesday December 30, 2009 at her home. She was born October 5, 1952 in Cortland NY, the daughter of the late Wayne and Edna Jordan Shutter.Karen was raised and educated locally, living in Cortland all her life. She was employed for over 30 years at Cortland Corset and most recently with Morris Security. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing. Karens memory will be cherished by her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She is survived by her daughters Tammy (Ted Barwell) Shutter of Dryden NY, Rhonda (Andy) Moore of Cortland NY, Rachel (Kevin) Pudney of East Syracuse NY, sisters Elaine Ziemanski of Amsterdam NY, Cheryl Brown of Cortland NY, grandchildren Jeffrey, Danielle, Kaylee, Jackie, Iam, Gabe, and Nicholas, several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband Lee Evans in 2007.Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Karens life that will be held 1 pm Saturday January 2, 2010, at the home of Rhonda and Andy Moore, 24 Randall St., Cortland NY 13045.To offer condolences online, visit www.wright-beard.com Rhonda - so sorry to hear of your mother's sudden passing.
