Obituary of Robert D. Morgan

Robert D. Morgan, 65, of Copeland St. Cortland passed away unexpectedly at St. josephs Hospital on Dec. 25. He was born Oct. 4, 1944 in Cortland, the son of the late Harold and Marie Sherman Morgan. He has been a lifelong resident of Cortland. He attended Cortland High School. Robert retired for E.L. Wood in Marathon for many years as a machine operator. He was a member of the Moose and Isaak Walton Archery club. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery, and wood working, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his son Mark Morgan of WI, brother Roger Morgan of Cortland, grandchildren Samantha and Sabastian Morgan, Erin Bierley, great grandchild Keegan Bierley, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Dixie, daughter Lisa Bierley, and brother Russell. Funeral services will be held 8 pm Monday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.
