Lewis H. Shutts, 51, of Cortland passed away December 21. He was born December 26, 1957 in Cortland the son of Howard Shutts and Berthena McKinney. Lewis is a lifelong resident of Cortland where he attended Cortland High School. He then went on to serve his country. After returning home from service he when onto work for Ames Linen for 21 years. Lewis then worked for Borg Warner for 14 years Mr. Shutts enjoyed camping and attending theme parks. He also loved to spend time with family and friends. Mr. Shutts is survived by his wife of 27 years; Peggy Shutts, sons; Steven (Kelly) Shutts of Cortland, Dan (Stephanie Smith) Shutts of Truxton, Todd (Kristan) Shutts of Truxton, daughter; Angela (David) Forehand of Cortland, brothers; Larry (Christine) of Solon, Kevin (Jennifer) of Lake Como, sisters; Joyce Morgan of Tully, Linda Shutts of Cincinnatus, his Mother Berthena, Grandchildren; Jordan, Luke, Matthew, Logan, Sarah, Jacob, Addelyne, Isaiah, Ryan, several nieces and nephews. Lewis is pre deceased by his father Howard Shutts, his father in law and mother in law Herbert J. and Dorla A. Sherman. Memorial Contributions may be made to Peggy Shutts, 1 Pierce Ave. Cortland NY 13045. Funeral services will be held on December 24 at Victory Christian Church, Douglass Road Cortland NY, at 11:00 AM. Friends and Family are invited to call at 9:00-10:45AM at the church.
