Louise Lansdowne, 79, of Cortland passed away December 3, 2009 in Syracuse. She was born March 11, 1930 in Brooklyn NY, the daughter of the late Heinrich and Emma Grotherr Recke.
Louise is survived by her sons; Carl (Laura) Lansdowne of Marathon, Scott (Mary) Lansdowne of Sempronius, Paul (Cindy) Lansdowne of FL, Thurston (Linda) Hilsinger of FL and Marc Hilsinger of Homer, daughters; Kathleen Brooks of Rome, NY, Christine Lansdowne of Cortland, Sally and Kitty Lansdowne of GA, Amy (Chris) Mauler of Homer, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is pre deceased by two grandchildren.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Wright-Beard Funeral Home assisted the family in arrangements

I was so sorry to read of your Mom's passing. Reading her obituary brought back memories of growing up on River St. We sure had great times back then. Our Mom passed away last June so I understand how you are feeling. I hope you and your families have a nice holiday and hang on to the wonderful memories of your Mom.
