Jean L. Cutler 83 of Cortland passed away November 16, 2009 in Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Jean was born December 7, 1925 in Cortland, the daughter of the late Harland and Ida Grewe Leonard.
Jean enjoyed sewing, quilting, bowling, and golfing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her door was always open as a mother and grandmother to her extended family.
\Jeans memberships included the Virgil Fire Department Aux., Virgil School Board, and Virgil Cemetery Association.
Jean is survived by her husband of 64 years Willis Willie Cutler of Cortland, her children John (Connie) Cutler of Cortland, Lawrence (Laurie) Cutler of Virginia, William (Gail) Cutler of Cortland, James Cutler of Freeville ,9 grandchildren , 11 great-grandchildren, her sister Marvis (Jerry) Stone of Hamilton, NY , sister- in law Elsie Leonard of New Hampshire.
In addition to her parents Jean was predeceased by her step brother Martin Leonard.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Saturday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. with the Reverend Jack Ford Officiating, interment will follow in Virgil Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
