Obituary of Dorothy M. Furman

Dorothy M. Furman 81 of Cortland passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Dorothy was born January 18,1928 in Camptown, Pennsylvania. Dorothy had been employed at SUNY Cortland, and the Cortland City School District., she was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. Dorothy is survived by her children Cynthia (Jerry) Natoli of Endicott, David (Kim) Furman of Des Moine, Iowa, and Nancy (Tim) Keech of Bloomfield, NY. her grandchildren Andrea Natoli, Kathryn Furman, Laura Jane Keech, brother Hurst (Mary Belle ) Mitten of Endicott, and her aunt Jane Carey of Camptown ,Pennsylvania In addition to her parents Dorothy predeceased by her husband Jack O Furman andSister Margaret Maher. A Memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave with the Reverend John Gay officiating, interment will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery Friends invited to call Thursday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Love, Steph To Dorothy's family, especially Cyndy and Jerry, I'm pretty sure Dorothy would want us to be our regular selves and not make a big deal...but it is a big deal and I hope you know I share your sense of loss, as do all who were priviledged to know her.
