Edward Bruce Barber 64 of Cortland passed away October 21, 2009 in Syracuse, surrounded by his loving family.
Bruce was born August 4, 1945 in Cortland the son of the late Herbert and Beatrice Powers Barber.
Bruce was employed by W F Saunders Ready Mix in Cortland, for over 30 years and enjoyed fishing, and antique cars. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 319.
Bruce is survived by his wife Rita Collins Barber of Cortland, his daughters Elizabeth (Scott) Breese of Norwich, Debra (Michael Nichols) Barber of Cortland, Kathleen (Michael Paquin) Barber of Cortland, brothers Russell (Marilyn) Barber and, Dennis (Annette) Barber both of Cortland , his sister Faith Frost, his grandchildren Alex Meeks , Shea and Fiora Breese, several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents Bruce was predeceased by his step mother Ella Peck Barber and Brother Ronald Barber.
At Bruces request there are no services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Bruces name may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation CNY Chapter 731 James St Suite 200 Syracuse, NY 13203 , the American Diabetes Association 356 Midler Ave. Syracuse, NY 13206 or the charity of ones choice.
