Obituary of Justin E. Hobart

Justin E. Hobart, 92, of Rt. 281 in Preble passed away Thursday at Cortland Regional Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1917 in Lafayette, NY, the son of the late Earl and Jessie Totman Hobart. He has been a lifelong resident of the Preble area. He attended from Tully High School. Justin worked at Sun Oil Pipeline in Cortland for over 35 years. His memberships included the Moose Club and the Congregational Church in Preble. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and working on his yard. Justin is survived by his sons Justin (Betty Davis) of Cincinnatus, John of Blodgett Mills, daughters Barbara (Robert) Temple of Homer, Judy (Frank) Oliver of McGraw, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Muffin. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.. Friends may call 5-7 Monday. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Preble.
