Sue, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your parents so well. I think your Dad provided cold cuts for every lunch I ate. I remember telling your Mom-MAD-when a friend stole candy. I miss great neighbors like your parents.

My friendship with Jim, spanning over 60 years, yields so many wonderful memories... watching George Gobel before going out on the town, the trip to Florida in Jim's new car, playing horseshoes at the Lake, and of course, the sausage. Jim was a groomsman at my wedding. When I could not get hot sausage in Florida Jim gave me the spices to make it. We tried to always get together at least once in the summer after I moved to Florida. He was a wonderful friend and will always be remembered fondly when I think of Cortland.

Suzanne,
I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up with your Mom and Dad at the store and they will always hold a place in my memories. Grant Street was just a wonderful place to grow up and your whole family was a huge part of that.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about the loss of "Uncle Jim". We remember him as a strong, kind, hardworking man who always gave you sincere time and a man who truly loved his family!
