Mom, You & I talked about what sign we'd give the other when one of us passed away. We never did decide what that sign would be after thinking and joking about silly signs. I saw a butterfly flying in front of my car last week on the way to the beach, and said to myself, "if that's you mom, i'll see you at the beach." (Or her sign, of course). I forgot all about it while reading, looking out at the ocean and just basking in the sun, when a lone butterfly flitted by me! Same color and size! All by itself. On the beach. I watched only for a few seconds, then it was gone. I think that was your sign. I love you and miss you so much, and know we'll meet again.

My condolences for the loss of Doris. The Bible calls death an enemy, and when it takes those we love, it truly is. (1 Corinthians 15:26) God will remember those who have died and bring them back to earth to enjoy life forever. (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:11,29) Soon he will wipe away all tears, and death and pain will be no more. (Revelation 21:3,4) May you find comfort in these promises.

Best wishes to Doris' family at the passing of a great person and mother. I worked with her at NY Telephone for many years, and was a personal friend of hers. I enjoyed all the time I spent with her, and our trips to Weight Watchers. The world is a better place because Doris was a part of it.
