Doris Fitzpatrick, 86, of Cortland passed away September 12, 2017 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after spending time at Cortland Park and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 20, 1930 in Troopsburg NY, the daughter of the late John and Grace Radcliffe Davis Sr. Doris was employed with AT&T for thirty one yrs then employed at the Cortland Hospital for thirteen yrs. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America serving in various capacities. In 1966 Doris was one of the founders of ARC, throughout her time with ARC she served in many areas and received numerous awards for her dedication. In her spare time she enjoyed being with family, camping, gardening, reading, music, and traveling. One of her high lights traveling was a pilgrimage to Israel with her St. Mary's family. She was a long time communicant of St. Mary's, serving with the Catholic Daughter's. She is survived by her children Michael Fitzpatrick, Kathy Fitzpatrick, Terrie Hammond, and Patrick (Rhonda) Fitzpatrick, her grandchildren Casey Fitzpatrick, Eva Fitzgerald, Dustin Fitzpatrick, Darren Fitzpatrick, seven great grandchildren, her sister Augusta McLean, many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis Fitzpatrick Jr., grandson David Hammond and several siblings. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, Cortland. Burial next to her late husband will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
