Dear Terri and family,
I am so sad to hear of John's passing. We worked together at Onondaga Hill Middle School, and I must say he was simply a joy to work with. He had a wonderful spirit as a colleague, and he showed consistency and structure when teaching his students. A dear man, there was nothing in which he loved more than his family. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. How grateful I am to have known him.

I have many fond memories serving the CHS community with John. We sat next to each other at our school board meetings. I will have a rice krispie treat in his honor this week. (I'm sorry Mrs. Natoli, I know we weren't supposed to let him eat that stuff at the meetings.) ❤️ Many prayers to all of you.

I am so saddened to learn of John’s passing. I can truly say he was one of a kind. I served on the Cortland Enlarged City School Board of Education with John for many years. He was always willing to give of himself to help others. He would do anything for anybody. All they would have to do is ask. He often brought humor and also a little drama to the board. When he passionately believed in something, he wouldn’t back down and his strong will and Italian nature would kick in. I can truly say I loved John and will miss him. Praying for you all at this sad time.
