A devoted family man, husband, father and grandfather, John A. Natoli Jr., 70, of Cortland, passed away at home surrounded by family on May 6, 2019. He was born on April 17, 1949 in Cortland, N.Y., to the late John A. Natoli Sr., and Anna E. Amo Natoli. John was employed as a Math Teacher at the Westhill School District in Syracuse, N.Y., and he also worked at the SUNY Cortland Bookstore. He enjoyed bowling, golf, softball, umpiring, watching the New York Yankees, and spending time with family and friends. John previously served on the Cortland Enlarged School District School Board, the Cortland County Legislature, and the Cortland Youth Hockey Board. John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Teresa Natoli; his children Annelise (Mick) Bader, Sarah Natoli, Anthony (Jessica) Natoli, Kimberly (Christopher Estep) Natoli; grandchildren Saulo and Logan Hernandez, Dexter and Harrison Natoli; and a brother Angelo (Donna) Natoli. In addition to John's parents, he is predeceased by his brother Charles (Lori) Natoli. John's family would like to thank countless people for their love and support, and Dr. DiGiovanna for his kindness and care. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no funeral. Calling hours will be held Friday May 10, 2019 from 12pm-2pm at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. At 2pm, there will be a brief tribute, followed by burial for family and close friends at St. Mary's Cemetery. Afterward, family and friends are invited to the Cortland Elks Lodge, 9 Groton Ave., for a meal and time together.
