Obituary of Samuel Brown

Samuel "Sammy" Brown, 16, of Homer passed away unexpectedly November 4, 2019. He was born November 20, 2002 in Cortland, NY. Sammy lived in Homer and was currently a Junior at the Homer Senior High School. He also attended BOCES and was taking Automotive Technician classes. Working on vehicles was his passion. Sammy enjoyed family time especially family meals. His family will cherish his memory as a loving son, brother, family member, and friend too many. He is survived by his father David Brown, his siblings Amber, David, Megan, John Henry, and Isabelle, his maternal grandmother Judy La Rue, paternal grandparents David and Lil Brown, aunts Lori Sullivan and Roxanne Gordon, uncle Terry Sullivan, nieces & nephews DJ, Cadence, Annabelle, and Lewis, and numerous friends. Sammy was predeceased by his mother Kristin Brown in 2017. Calling hours will be Friday 3-6 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter NY.
