Susie A Inman passed away on November 27, 2020. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was born on February 7, 1930, to Paul and Cecil Doran, and was the middle child of nine. Susie was a lifelong resident of Homer and Cortland. She worked many years for Cortland County as the Deputy Treasurer under then-County Treasurer, Carl Edlund. After retiring from the County, she fulfilled a lifelong dream when she purchased The Little Treat Shoppe in Polkville and served ice cream to the community for several summers. She had many hobbies and enjoyed baking, reading, and politics, but her greatest joy was family. Susie is survived by her daughter, Arleen (John) Colasanto; grandchildren David (Martha) Inman, Suzanne (Ed) Osterhoudt, Lars (Edie) Inman, Daniel (Elizabeth) Long, Kristy Long, and Lisa (John) Dann; daughter-in-law Audrey Inman; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters Sandy Emerson and Jody Doran, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Larry Inman, three of her brothers, and three sisters. Calling hours will be held on Saturday December 5, 2020 from 11am-12pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln, Ave. Cortland, NY. A funeral service will follow at 12pm with Rev. Parks officiating. We will be following NYS guidelines regarding capacity, facial coverings, and distancing.
