So very sad to hear of Sue's passing...She was always smiling and so cheerful.. I remember her from the Health Dept, when I worked there with Barb, Rosalie, and Emily. Gone too soon. Will always remember your great smile Sue! Hugs and prayers to her family.

Dear Jim, Lisa, Sara and Family,
Was sad to hear the news of Sue's passing. I enjoyed walking home from St. Mary's school with her and after high school graduation and college I enjoyed talking with her at the YWCA when she attended the exercise class I participated in. I remember her walking her dog past my dads house on Broadway and he enjoyed talking with her about gardening and sharing dog stories with her.
Rest in Peace. Maureen StackHartley

Growing up on Maple Avenue, I have wonderful memories of playing with Sue all summer long outdoors and inside when the weather was rainy. Remembering her smile and good nature makes me realize how lucky I am to have known Sue and her family especially during our youth. Sue, be at peace.

I was so sad to hear of Sue’s passing. I still remember she volunteered in my kindergarten class (Sara’s grade) helping with cooking and craft projects. She would light up a room with her smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Theresa Quail

Dear Jim and family:
I didn’t have the chance to know Sue as well as some others did, but from the moment I met her I felt a loving, warm connection. She brought so much joy to my life as she did with everyone’s. She was truly a blessing to all who knew her. May God wrap her in his loving arms, and may he give you and your family comfort.

Dear Jim, Lisa and Sara,
I'm someone who went to school with Susan at St. Mary's from grades 1-6. We were close friends back in the day and walked home from St. Mary's School in the same direction. Every day I looked forward to hovering around Sue on the walk home up Madison Ave. I'd run (with a friend like Ray Porter) past Sue, then wait for her to catch up and we'd start running again. Those 4 or 5 blocks home with Sue was among the best experiences I have ever had. My memories of Sue are all from those early days.
Our paths diverged when Sue went continued at St. Mary's and I went to CHS. I saw Sue only a once or twice after high school. I'm saddened to hear the news of Sue's passing. I wish there had more time with Sue for all of us. The life described by her daughter in the obituary sounds just like the Sue I knew as a child- beautiful, warm, caring and fun. My most sincere condolences to her husband, daughters and grandchildren. Sue has left a beautiful family and a wonderful legacy. With love and appreciation, Paul Hannon

Dear Jon, Lisa, Franklin & Susie,
I am so sorry to hear of Nana Susan's passing! I really enjoyed getting to know her at our weekly classes when she would bring Susie. We laughed together, learned together, encouraged one another and enjoyed each other's company whether in person, by mail or text over the past few years. I will miss her beautiful spirit, but I see it carried on through each one of you! What a blessing to have a Mom and Nana with so much love for her family!
With love and prayers through this tender time,
Mrs. Christa Boice

Jim, Sara, and Lisa,
I am so sorry for your loss. Sue was an amazing woman who displayed such courage, optimism and strength throughout her illness.
