I will always fondly remember Sandy! I worked with her in the lab at Cortland Memorial Hospital from 1970 thru 1976. We also bowled together in a league at Cort-Lanes. She always had a sweet smile and we shared many great times together. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and other friends. She will be missed! ❤️

This morning I woke up to a landscape covered on snow, my trip into Cortland was magical, I was driving in a winter wonderland. It reminded me of the many stormy drives to work where I would find Sandy covering my departments until I would get there.
I met Sandy when I started working at the Cortland Hospital Lab in 1972, we worked together in the Chemistry lab for nearly 40 years.
We, the lab people, were one big family. Sandy hosted my baby shower and months later Tab and Trish took turn pushing the stroller down Elm Street. I still treasure the beautiful baby sweater she knitted.
People used to say, we looked alike, so much, that sometimes her friends and family would call me Sandy. We had friendly rivalry as to who was the better looking or who had the smartest kid, etc. The competition ended when Sandy became a grandmother. She truly had the cutest and most lovable grandchildren.
Sandy gave her all to her work and her family, she was most proud of her daughters Tabitha and Trisha and her grandchildren Lena and Kannon. Time to take a well deserved rest.

So sad to hear of Sandy's passing She was my first supervisor when I started at CMH in 1980. We worked side by side in Chemistry for so many years. So much time together we knew what the other was thinking. No words, we just automatically did was was wanted. I learned so much from her, along with plenty of laughter. Dedicated professional, loving Mom. Condolences to Tab, Trisha and their family. Your mother will always be with you.

I worked with Sandy for years. I loved her for so many reasons. You always knew she would give you just the right answer to - well - anything! Sandy had a way about her that felt comforting yet stern when needed. Her knowledge base was incredible and she truly cared about the faceless patients she did her job for. Each name on a vial meant a human life in need and she felt that! She cared that she did a good job. She cared about her coworkers. She spoke lovingly about family. Sandy was one of a kind and I admired her so much!

I am sad to hear of Sandy's passing. I worked with her in the lab for a number of years, she was deeply committed to the quality of work that we all did, knowing, as she often reminded me; "these are patients, not just numbers." May she rest in peace.

My condolences to Sandy’s family. I worked with her at the hospital in the early 90s. I was a new graduate and she was the Chemistry supervisor. I learned so much from her. She was kind and patient and very good at explaining things. Although it has been many years since I worked with her, I remember like it was yesterday. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers to all.
