My sincere condolences for Jack's passing. My best memory of Jack is when I played softball for APlus. He taught me how to bat with batting T . We had the best of times then and after our games at the tavern.

I first met Jack when I was 18 working at a summer job at the Crescent Corset before heading off to college. Workers were excited that Jack Williams was going to stop by. I thought, who is this guy that has all these people so excited? Everyone's face lit up when he walked into the room. He made his way around the room engaging with everyone, always with a big smile, and a laugh and everyone responded in kind. I thought this guy would make a terrific politician. He knew how to work a room. A few years later, I was tending bar at my father's restaurant (Pace's Restaurant). He came in with the members of the school board, where they continued discussing that evening's meeting. He remembered me by name, which impressed me since I had only met him once. I watched as he worked his magic on members of the school board just as he had done the day I met him. The next time I met Jack was years later when I decided to run for the county legislature after retiring as a school teacher. Jack was my mentor, I learned so much about public service and how to resolve difficult issues and move the county forward. Jack was always professional and respectful even with those who disagreed with him. I loved working with him. Seeing him work behind the scenes to make his community a better place to live without taking credit for it is how I will remember Jack. I will cherish the private conversations we had for the rest of my days. Rest easy, my friend. You truly did God's work. My condolences to Jack's family. My prayers are with you all. - Tony Pace

We were so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. We have many, many fond memories. I worked with Jack at NCC Industries. In fact I took his job as Traffic Manager and he mentored me throughout my career.
He was a smart, thoughtful man and he will be missed.
Our deepest sympathies to Diane and his family.
